Is There Major Drama Between One Direction and 5 Seconds of Summer?

One Direction is obviously one of the most popular musical acts around, but even they're getting pressure to not fall behind the times! A source told The Daily Star that Simon Cowell warned One Direction to watch their backs — or else 5 Seconds of Summer will take over their spot as top boy band.

Simon allegedly said, “It does mean 1D have to up their game a bit. We knew a lot of boy bands would follow, but the competition is tough at the moment.”

We don't think there's any major feuding going on between these two bands, but we wouldn't be surprised if Simon had a serious talk with One Direction — he's always so blunt! 5SOS has done really well lately, announcing they're embarking on their own solo tour and performing at the MTV Video Music Awards, so we understand why Simon might be worried.However, we think there's enough room for both of them! The Wanted have already blamed One Direction for their breakup, but fans can't imagine 1D breaking up because of 5SOS. Their music is very different.
