Taylor Swift, 24, is on top of the world with her latest album, 1989, selling over 1.2 million copies in just one week! That’s seriously impressive! On Nov. 6, the “Shake It Off” singer posted a throwback picture of her younger self on Instagram to remind everyone how long it’s been since an album sold that many copies. 

Once news broke that her new album, 1989, had sold 1.2 million copies in it’s first week, Taylor shared this photo with a very interesting caption:

“The last time an album sold as many copies as 1989 did first week, it was 2002, I was 12, and going through my ‘braids phase’. #nofilternecessary.”

The 2002 chart-topping album Taylor is referring to is Eminem‘s “The Eminem Show” which sold 1.322 million in its second chart week, according to Billboard. As proven from Taylor’s adorable picture, that was over a decade ago, and no artist has managed to accomplish that much success until now.

Ed Sheeran has been pretty vocal about his love for Taylor Swift's new album 1989, and now we know which track he loves the most. While appearing on the radio show On Air With Ryan Seacrest, the "Shake It Off" singer revealed that "Bad Blood" is his fave song on her album. In case you missed it, that's the track that is supposedly about her feud with Katy Perry!

“I remember individual circumstances when I would write a song and be so excited about it, so I’d play it for Ed [Sheeran]," she said. "Ed’s favorite song on the album is ‘Bad Blood.’"

“I played it for Ed as soon as I wrote it, which I think was was about a year ago,” she said. “And at that point, it was just a really basic demo track…and he was going, ‘This has to be the first single! This has to be the first single!’ And I was like, ‘Eh, we’ll see.’ But since he’s now heard the album and heard the final track, he loves it even more.”

We kind of assumed the "Thinking Out Loud" singer was on Taylor's side, but now we know for sure! They are the ultimate besties, after all. But we're wondering if he likes the song a little bit more because it's his friend's personal form of "revenge."

Taylor Swift’s long-awaited album “1989” has been released and fans have been counting down the hours all day on Twitter. Some fans may have already heard some of the songs as they were leaked online temporarily the other day. The first track to hit the internet was “Blank Space,” but it was yanked by Big Machine Records. Swift is just one of many big artists who has to deal with leaked music, but it shouldn’t affect her album sales as Swifties are extremely loyal.

1. Polaroids Have Been the Theme of the Album

In celebration of the album and the Polaroid photo theme, fans are posting their own Polaroid pics all over Twitter. The #TS1989 physical cd comes with 13 Polaroids and there are 5 different sets for fans, which makes 65 different Polaroids total. The standard album is 13 songs long and the deluxe edition has three extra songs and three voice memos, making 19 tracks. This edition is available solely at Target stores.

 2. It’s Named “1989” After Swift’s Birth Year

In an interview with radio station KISS FM, Swift revealed that she chose the name of the album after her birth year and the album is inspired by music from that year. Swift explained:

I have a few artists in the late eighties who I think made the most incredible, bold, risky decisions as far as pop music goes. They were really ahead of their time, like Annie Lennox and what Madonna was doing in the late eighties. “Like a Prayer” is legitimately one of the greatest pop songs of all time.
