Is Liam Payne Getting Married?

Is Liam Payne Getting Married?

If you freaked out a little after reading that headline, we don't blame you. When we first heard the news that Liam Payne accepted a marriage proposal, we couldn't believe it, either! But fear not. Liam is not actually getting married, but he did something incredibly cute for a fan!
Earlier this month, One Direction held a Q&A sesh for the Rays of Sunshine charity, which the guys are ambassadors for, and answered Directioners' burning questions. One brave fan, Ellie Mae-Morgan, asked if Liam is available to get married, and he said yes! He told Ellie he would meet her the next day for the wedding!
Liam then went on to ask Ellie what kind of wedding she wanted, and she replied that she wanted to have a big wedding. Liam suggested they get married at Buckingham Palace, the home of the British Royal Family. He sure knows how to make a girl feel like a princess!.

Apple today released an updated version of its Amazon Instant Video app for iOS with free TV show episodes that include in-video advertising, new HBO content and improved playback controls.

According to the app description, Amazon Instant Video users will be able to stream the first episode of selected TV shows for free, including classic shows such as 21 Jump Street, Eight is Enough and others.
These free videos will feature advertisements before and during playback.
Many of these free episodes are part of Amazon's Prime Instant Video catalog, which means Prime subscribers won't have to watch the video ads. Advertisements will be shown to non-Prime subscribers and in TV shows that are not part of the Prime video service. The free first episodes are already available on Kindle Fire devices and the Roku, but this is the first time ad-supported content from Amazon is available on iOS.
Besides the free TV shows, Amazon also added new content from HBO that debuted online last month. The list of HBO titles includes The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, The Wire, Big Love, Deadwood, Eastbound & Down, Family Tree, Enlightened, Treme, early seasons of Boardwalk Empire, True Blood, select mini-series such as Band of Brothers and comedy specials featuring well-know comedians like Lewis Black and Bill Maher. Additional HBO shows will be made available three years after their original airing date.
Last but not least, the updated Amazon Instant Video app offers new video playback controls with 0-second skip and "Next Episode" buttons to improve the streaming experience.

iOS device owners can download the Instant Video app from the App Store for free.

Apple’s Larger IPhones Said to Start Mass Production Next Month

Apple’s Larger IPhones Said to Start Mass Production Next Month

Tim Culpan and Peter Burrows
Bloomberg

June 24 (Bloomberg) -- Apple Inc.’s suppliers will begin mass production of new iPhones in China next month, according to people familiar with the plans.

Apple is ramping up on two bigger-screen iPhones, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the plans are private. One model will have a 4.7-inch screen that may be available to ship to retailers around September, said two of the people. A larger 5.5-inch version is also being prepared for manufacturing and may be available at the same time, the people said.

Apple is getting ready for its annual unveiling of new iPhones, with bigger screens beyond the 4 inches of its current iPhone 5s after rivals including Samsung Electronics Co. and HTC Corp. released smartphones with displays that are as large as 5.7 inches. Consumers have been gravitating toward larger-screen devices -- in China, 40 percent of mobile gadgets based on Google Inc.’s Android operating system that were sold in 2014 had display sizes of more than 5 inches, according to an estimate from Forrester Research.

Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook is under pressure to reignite Apple’s sales growth and the iPhone, which generates more than half of the company’s annual revenue, remains his chief weapon. Last year, the smartphone produced $91 billion in revenue alone, more than the total sales of Oracle Corp., Yahoo! Inc., Facebook Inc. and Twitter Inc. combined.
Natalie Kerris, a spokeswoman for Cupertino, California- based Apple, declined to comment.

Rounder, Thinner

The new iPhones will also be rounder and thinner than previous models, said one of the people. Production of the 5.5- inch model is more complicated than the smaller version, resulting in lower production efficiency that must be overcome before manufacturing volume can be increased, said the person.

Apple is developing new iPhone designs including bigger screens with curved glass and enhanced sensors that can detect different levels of pressure, Bloomberg News reported in November. Called 2.5-dimension glass, the material lets manufacturers taper the edges of the screen where the bezel meets the frame of smartphone.

Earlier this month, Apple also introduced new features for the software powering the iPhone and iPad in a bid to add more functions and utility to the devices. The company’s new iOS 8 mobile software has capabilities that enable people to use the gadgets to monitor their health and remotely control locks and lights for their home.

Tips for Caring for Oily Skin:

"Tips for Caring for Oily Skin"

Skin care

The following are 10 tips for taking care of oily skin.
  • Wash your face twice a day – once in the morning and once before bed. Washing more often can strip your skin of  all the natural moisturizers and increase oil production. The only time you should wash your face more than twice a day is if you have been perspiring.
  • Use a gentle cleanser. If you need something stronger, look for ingredients specifically made for oily skin and acne, such as benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, glycolic acid, or beta-hydroxy acid. Although usually marketed for acne, these products work well for oily skin too.
  •  If you are experimenting with different cleansers to find one that works for you, keep a notebook and write down the date, what cleanser you are  using and keep track of how your skin looks after a few weeks. If you notice irritation, write that down so you know not to try that cleanser again.
  • Don’t scrub your face as this can stimulate oil production.
  • If you use a toner, use it only on areas that are oily, such as your forehead or around your nose. If you have areas that  aren’t oily, toners can create dry patches.
  • If you have oil build up in between facial washings, use a medicated pad or blotting paper to remove excess oil. These products have the added benefit of being portable, allowing you  to freshen up your face no matter where you are.
  • Oily skin still needs to be moisturized, but be careful to choose the right moisturizer. Look for water based or oil-free moisturizers and stay away from creams and heavy moisturizers.
  • When choosing foundation and other make-up, pick those with gel, liquid or powder bases. If using a liquid make-up make sure it is water based, not oil based. Makeup labeled “noncomedongenic” contain ingredients that won’t clog your pores.
  • Exfoliate once a week to help loosen and remove dirt and oil in your pores.
  • No matter how tempted, don’t pick, pop or squeeze pimples as it can cause scarring and leave red spots on your face.
Remember, having oily skin does have some benefits. Those with oily skin tend to age slower. Oily skin tends to wrinkle less than those with dry or normal skin.

"Demi Lovato got cozy for her flight from Los Angeles to New York on Friday"

The 21-year-old actress-singer was spotted landing in the Big Apple wearing a comfortable-looking outfit.
While not at her most fashionable, she still looked great and appeared to be in good spirits as she stopped to pose for pictures with fans.

Demi's black jumper, seemingly simple with just Fujiyama written across the front, was actually produced by french designer Isabel Marant.
The rest of her ensemble included a black leather cap, black sunglasses, a pair of black leggings, black boots, and a black and white plaid shirt tied around her waist.
Lovato kept her jewellery simple, with thin silver rings, stud earrings, and a delicate triangle pendant necklace.
The Skyscraper singer carried her black Celine handbag over her arm and toted a large bottle of water for her coast-to-coast flight.

On Sunday night, Lovato teased fans on Twitter, tweeting, 'Hey NYC - big announcement tomorrow morning... Stay tuned!!!!'.

‘How to Train Your Dragon 2′ Earns $25 Million in Second Weekend:

‘How to Train Your Dragon 2′ Earns $25 Million in Second Weekend:
Director: Dean DeBlois
Screenplay by : Dean DeBlois & Chris Sanders
date released: 7 June 2014

Animation box office
In its second weekend, How to Train your Dragon 2 eased 49% to an estimated $25.3 million. The drop was significantly greater than the 34% second-weekend decline of the original movie in the series. Combined with the lower-than-expected opening weekend, the sequel is now all but guaranteed to finish below the original film’s $217.6 million U.S. gross. Box Office Mojo suggests that the film, which has currently grossed $95.2 million domestically, could end up with as little as $170 million, nearly $50 million less than its predecessor.
As with many computer-animated features, the silver lining is the film’s overseas performance. How to Train Your Dragon 2 added $43.5 million from international territories, boosting its foreign total to $$77.2 million. The sequel opened in Mexico with $7.3 million (far surpassing the original film’s Mexican debut of $2.8 million) and in Brazil with $6.8 million (above the original’s $2.4 million Brazilian launch).
The only film that did better at the international box office was Disney’s animation-inspired Maleficent, which added $44.7 million from foreign territories. It also grabbed an estimated $13 million in its fourth U.S. weekend, pushing its domestic total to $186 million. To date, the film has grossed $521.6 million globally.
In its fourth weekend, Seth MacFarlane’s A Million Ways to Die in the West, dropped out of the top ten with $1.6 million. The film has grossed a meek $40.3 million, a far cry from the $219 million gross of MacFarlane’s directorial debut Ted. Combined with its equally miniscule $30.8 million international gross, the film will likely end up with less than $100 million globally.

Adobe Ink and Slide review: A software giant tries its hand at hardware:

Engadget

As big as Adobe is in the software space, the company only announced last spring that it planned to dive into hardware, starting with a cloud-connected stylus and a drafting ruler. The Ink and Slide, as they're called, are accessories that allow the company's creative-pro customers access to Adobe's Creative Cloud service on mobile devices. Now, the final versions are available in the US, and as you might expect, Adobe has a smattering of companion apps in tow for making the most out of what could otherwise be a dear $199 purchase. With hoards of more affordable styli to choose from, are Adobe's efforts really worth the premium? As is often the case, the answer's a bit more nuanced than a simple "yes" or "no."

The Surface Pro 3 is nigh-on impossible to repair, just like its ancestors:

Engadget

if you had dreams of upgrading your shiny new Surface Pro 3, you'd better shelve them. The crew at iFixit has torn down Microsoft's latest slate, and it proves just as daunting to repair as both of its predecessors. About the only replaceable part is the solid-state drive, and there's a good chance that you'll destroy your tablet trying to reach that component -- even iFixit cracked the glass while removing the display. Just about everything (including the screen) is held in place with adhesives, and unconventional connectors only add to the challenge. You may not mind the unrepairable design given that the Pro 3 is much thinner and lighter than earlier Surfaces, but this definitely isn't the tablet for tinkerers.

Happy Halloween check out these Most Scariest Places In The World and prepare to be amazed!

Trees of the Sea – suicide forest

Aokigahara, also known as the Trees of the Sea  is a 35-square-kilometre forest that lies at the northwest base of Mount Fuji in Japan. The density of the trees is so intense that you can wander in pitch black darkness during the day. Due to the wind-blocking density of the trees and an absence of wildlife, the forest is also known for being extremely quiet. That’s it? I can hear you thinking. Just a dark forest were you can hear a pin drop? Give me my iPod and a flashlight and it doesn’t sound that bad. But wait there is more…
The forest has a historic association with demons in Japanese mythology and is the second most popular place for suicides in the world (right after the Golden Gate Bridge). Almost 100 people a year wander in the forest never to return again. If you ever plan on visiting, then don’t be surprised to run into a few as Japanese authorities have a hard time finding and removing all those bodies. For years the corpses just stayed there and rotted away, meaning the forest is scattered with human skulls and bones

Abandoned Takakanonuma Amusement Park - Japan

What makes this abandoned amusement park so frightening is the amount of mystery that surrounds it. It’s literally surrounded in a thick cloud of mist that swallows the park entirely. Built in 1973, the park’s first attempt at bringing fun family entertainment lasted only two years. While never officially confirmed, it was rumoured to be closed due to a number of mysterious death’s inside the park. Perhaps the park was repaired, or maybe it was long enough for people to forget the bizarre freak accidents, but the park reopened in 1986. This time it only stayed open for a single year, again mysterious death’s were rumoured to be the cause.
Today, the sprawling hills and trees of the surrounding forests seem to have taken over the park, and its grounds are littered with the remnants of a failed run as a theme park. Roller coasters are still in place and their tracks sweep through the evergreens, but no one has been here for over a decade.
Of course the  accidents are just rumours, but think about what that park must have cost? There has to be a pretty good reason to just pack up and leave it totally abandoned like that, right? What’s also very creepy is that there is no official information about the place… at all. It’s not on any map…almost like it never existed. A whole amusement park vanishing.

“La isla de la Muñecas” or “The Island of Dolls”

If you ever watched “The River”, then you know where they got their inspiration from for the creepy baby tree scene . This bizarre- and frightening place is located within an extensive group of canals, south of Mexico City. That sounds like a beautiful holiday destination right? It’s not… this strange place is actually the opposite of beautiful. The island is totally abandoned and the few people who travelled there descibe it as dark, silent with a feeling of chill.
What doesn’t help this place becoming a popular travel destination is the fact that almost every single tree is decorated with deformed and mutilated dolls. The dolls almost seem evil and I seriously wonder where one would buy such creepy dolls, other than the  As you walk the island, it supposedly feels like you are being watched at all times.Scared yet? Well of course creepy toys aren’t enough to make this a candidate for scariest place in the world. You guessed it, the island is supposedly haunted!
Even though the island is totally abandoned, over 50 years ago, a man named Don Julian Santana left his wife and kids and moved there to live the rest of his life alone. When he was living there, the body of a dead little girl came floating up in one of the canals. Don Julian thought he had become haunted by her spirit. He began to collect dolls and decorate the island with them. He would trade vegetables and fruits in exchange for any dolls. The dolls were believed to be used by Don Julian as a shrine for the spirit that haunted him. Over the 50 years that he lived there, he continuously collected dolls and decorated them all over the island, until he died.
Some natives of Mexico believe that Don Julian went crazy. They think that Don Julian would throw the dolls into the canals and save them as if they were real babies. His family said this was not true. They say it was his way of coping with the haunting of the little girl.
In 2001, Don Julian was found dead by his nephew. He found him in the same canal that Don Julian supposedly found the little girl. After his death, tourists have said that they heard dolls whispering as they passed them.

Old Changi Hospital – Changi, Singapore

The Old Changi Hospital is a former hospital in Changi, Singapore. It was built back in 1935 as part of the old Changi military base. During the occupation of the Japanese the compound was used by the notorious Kempeitai (the Japenese Secret Police) as a prison and torture camp. After the end of World War II, the building was again a hospital, and remained so until 1997, when it was replaced by the Changi General Hospital. It has stood derelict and decaying ever since.
The building is now haunted by its past, with Japanese soldiers, people that were executed, and the patients that died here. Apparitions of an old man has been seen walking down the corridors, and a woman has been seen walking through the rooms. The spirits of children are know to haunt the old children’s ward, and the ghosts of Japanese soldiers have been seen also.  unexplained screams are also a common occurrence.
