Is Demi Lovato Getting Back Into Acting?

Is Demi Lovato Getting Back Into Acting?

Demi Lovato hasn't been in a movie since 2010's Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, but she justannounced her next film role! Even though we thought that the star was devoting all her time to singing, the pop star will be voicing the lead character in the animated film, Charmed.
It's follows Cinderella, Snow White, and Sleeping Beauty after they all learn that they're engaged to the same Prince Charming.
While we won't get to see her acting chops in real life (oh, how we miss Camp Rock), we're still excited to see her first big role in a while. She's appeared on Glee within the last year or so, but it feels like so long ago!
Maybe she's taking Ariana Grande's lead and easing into more acting gigs with an animated one? The "Break Free" singer made her return with Underdogs, and now she's set to have a recurring role on a new television show called Scream Queens. We would love if Demi did the same!

Did Alex & Sierra Confirm Harry Styles Wrote a Song About Taylor Swift?

Did Alex & Sierra Confirm Harry Styles Wrote a Song About Taylor Swift?

There's been a lot of speculation that Alex & Sierra's song "I Love You" was actually written by Harry Styles, and now the X Factor duo has basically confirmed it. The One Direction singer reportedly wrote the track under a pen name, and while the couple won't spill if Hazza is actually Mick Greenberg, they hinted that the song written about a relationship with Taylor Swift!
“We were told that Mick Greenberg wrote it. That’s what we were told, that’s all we know,” Alex said. "It could be Shaq! We don’t know… Shaquille O’Neil might have written it.”
“Maybe Mick and Taylor are really good friends… Maybe Mick & Taylor had a fling!" they joked.
Based on their reaction, it definitely seems like they don't want to spill that the 1D guy really wrote their song. But they're probably sworn to secrecy!
"I Love You" does seem to have a lot of references to Taylor's music. In one part, the songwriter says, "I won't trouble you no more," seemingly referencing "I Knew You Were Trouble" (which was written about Harry).

5 Seconds Of Summer guitarist says he's "so damn happy" to win Worst Band at NME Awards

5 Seconds Of Summer guitarist says he's "so damn happy" to win Worst Band at NME Awards

Michael Clifford, the guitarist for Sydney pop band 5 Seconds Of Summer, says he's "so damn happy" to win the award for Worst Band at the NME Awards 2015 with Austin, Texas.

Nominees included The 1975, One Direction, U2 and Bastille, but ultimately the readers decided on the relative newcomers, who released their self-titled debut album last year.

On Twitter, Clifford wrote: "Won the NME worst band award. I'm so damn happy right now. thx to everyone who voted." The band also proudly tweeted a link to an article about their 'win', which was shared more than 50,000 times.

The prize was not handed out in person at the ceremony at O2 Academy Brixton last night. Previous winners of the title include The 1975 (2014), One Direction (2012, 2013) and The Jonas Brothers (2009-2011).

Facebook is already making virtual reality apps

Facebook is already making virtual reality apps

Facebook's head of Product, Chris Cox, says the company is already working on making versions of its apps expressly for virtual reality. The explanation, during an interview at CodeMedia, wasn't detailed but touched on the idea of being able to share your own environment with other users - a different way of sharing. "You realize when you're in it, that you're looking at the future, and it's going to be awesome. When you're in Facebook, you're just sending around these bits of experience - a photo, a video, a thought," added Cox. Making good use of that Oculus VR purchase, the product head reminded the audience that VR apps were still a while away, if only due to the fact that headsets are still nascent. Tiny user numbers will be another challenge before Facebook VR gets, literally, in your face.

5SOS'S Ashton Irwin Has A PonyTail Now

5SOS'S Ashton Irwin Has A PonyTail Now

There's no denying that us girls probably have it easier when it comes to drastically changing up our hair game, but forget the Harry Styles man bun and the single-strand-James-Dean-quiff a la Zayn Malikbecause there's a new style in town for the boys to try out.

Fan Theories About Taylor Swift's "Style" Music Video

Fan Theories About Taylor Swift's "Style" Music Video

Taylor Swift's new "Style" music video is literally a work of art! The songstress is known for pulling out all the stops when it comes to bringing her songs to life and she did just that, in a super cool new way.

Taylor secretly recorded parts of "Style" before she released her album.
The singer wore this music video look (with matching hair and makeup to boot) at the beginning of August! But she didn't even announce 1989 until a few weeks later.
Her brother even jokingly tweeted about how sad she looked that day — maybe that's because she was "reliving" old memories?

Taylor is holding Harry's paper airplane necklace in her hands.
When they were dating, the One Direction singer gave his then-girlfriend his signature paper airplane necklace. We haven't seen it since they split up — but it looks like the same one she's clutching in her hands in "Style."
Taylor is referencing her ex's driving habits.
Harry is known for his love of vintage cars, and her fictional boyfriend drives one in the video
The music video for "Style" is actually the music video for "Wildest Dreams."
It fits perfectly.

Taylor is referencing her song "Clean" at the end of the video.
"Clean" is about finally getting over a relationship, and she's literally being cleansed with water (well, a projection) at the end of "Style."

Starbucks app lets you reload your card with Apple Pay

Starbucks app lets you reload your card with Apple Pay

No, you still can't go into a Starbucks and pay for that double-blended frappuccino with your phone. But if you update the company's app, you should at least be able to quickly reload a Starbucks card from within your iPhone using Apple Pay. The cafe has long been listed as one of Apple Pay's app partners, but it's not clear if it will ever accept the payment method in its stores. Other than giving you the ability to load your card with caffeine money, the update also adds more calorie information to the items on the menu. And trust us when we say you'd want to check it first before ordering a second venti double chocolaty chip crème frappuccino.

British thieves stole DVDs from a supermarket by mailing them home

British thieves stole DVDs from a supermarket by mailing them home

Before we start, we know that crime is wrong and that theft is a serious issue. That said, the lengths some people will go to steal a few DVDs is pretty entertaining. Thieves at a Walmart-owned ASDA supermarket in Cheshire, England managed to evade security after they began packing movies and other stolen goods into envelopes. Instead of walking out with the goods, where they'd be instantly apprehended, they came up with the clever idea to send the packages to themselves using the in-store Post Office. Apparently no one told them DVDs were dead.
The Liverpool Echo reports that staff at ASDA caught wind of the scam (although it doesn't say how long it took for them to notice) and decided to move packaging supplies behind its entertainment counter at the other end of the store. It was only when a local shopper attempted to buy an envelope that he was let into the secret of what actually happened. The supermarket chain has confirmed it's now a police matter, who may now be looking for the local equivalent of Ocean's Eleven.

Google's 3D-sensing Project Tango is no longer an experiment

Google's 3D-sensing Project Tango is no longer an experiment

Yet another project is graduating from experiment to proper part of Google. Only two weeks ago, Glass left the confines of the Skunk Works-like Google X and became its own division headed up by Nest co-founder Tony Fadell. Now Project Tango, the 3D-sensing and -mapping concept, is moving on from the ATAP (Advanced Technology and Projects) labs to become a part of the company proper. Unfortunately what that means for the technology or what products it might eventually end up in isn't exactly clear. Will the next Nexus sport a depth-sensing IR camera? Maybe. Or perhaps they'll be used to build more advanced home automation and home monitoring tools for Nest. All we do know is that Tango will live on, even if the name "Project Tango" eventually fades away.
